DCA is the 1,600-member trade association working for the common good of the meat chicken industry in Delaware, the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia's Eastern Shore. Our membership includes chicken growers, chicken processing companies and allied businesses that service the chicken industry. We are a non-profit association governed by a Board of Directors.
Proposal Overview
The association is seeking to engage with a financial professional to invest $200,000 in alignment with the association's risk tolerance and return goals. The association seeks to pursue a balanced investment allocation to preserve buying power against inflation.
Proposal Submission Process
Proposal Due Date: January 14, 2022 Who Can Apply: Professional financial planners, financial planning firms or those who are certified money managers, preferably on the Delmarva Peninsula. Format: The proposal should be submitted via email to porter@dcachicken.com as a Word or PDF file.
Review Process
Proposals will be evaluated immediately thereafter the proposal due date. DCA may require additional Zoom or follow-up meetings and presentations. You will be notified if this is requested.
DCA's Finance Committee, consisting of the Treasurer, 3 members of the Board of Directors and 3 outside members will be evaluating the proposals. The Board of Directors will have the final say on determining the chosen company.
The name of the candidate company who has been selected will be decided by April 29, 2022.
All other candidates will be notified after April 29, 2022.
