Delmarva Chicken Festival - FAQ

The event runs from 1 p.m. – 7 p.m. with fireworks to conclude the evening @ 7 p.m.

The event is taking place in the parking lot of Arthur Perdue Stadium, located at 6400 Hobbs Road, Salisbury, Maryland.

Yes! There is no entry fee and no charge for parking. Many activities are free as well.

There is plenty of free parking available at Perdue Stadium, and folks will be there to guide you. You will only be able to enter from the main entrance off of Hobbs Road.

No, this event is rain or shine!

You will want to bring some money to buy food and drink, purchase arts, crafts and other goods from our more than 35 vendors, and for a few kids activities, such as the bounce houses or petting zoo. And to take home a commemorative T-shirt from the event, as well!

The Pohanka of Salisbury Music Stage will have:
• 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. – The Jones Boys - country
• 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. – Jimmy Charlies - country
• 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. – Mike Hines & the Look - variety

On the Entertainment Stage we will have:
• 1:00 p.m. – Opening Ceremony
• 2:00 p.m. – Miss Delmarva Chicken Festival Pageant
• 3:00 p.m. – Wing War on the Shore Wing Eating Contest
• 4:00 p.m. – Chicken Capers – Field-day like competition between the chicken company employees
• 5:00 p.m. – Mountaire Chickin' Pickin' Contest

The Miss Delmarva Chicken Festival Pageant is full. Register with Avery Hall for Wing War on the Shore. You can register at the Mountaire tent for the Chickin' Pickin' contest the day of the event.

Yes, there will be a variety of chicken options, including fried, BBQ, nuggets, sandwiches, chicken and waffles and so much more!

Yes, we will have a wide variety of food for all attendees, including dessert. See our list of food vendors.

We will have a few chairs, but we encourage you to bring your own lawn chairs and/or a blanket.

No, we will have live chicks at the event, so please leave dogs at home, unless it is a service dog.
