61st National Meeting on Poultry Health, Processing, and Live Production

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

for
Applied Poultry Research Poster Session

Students and veterinary residents are invited to submit abstracts for the Applied Poultry Research Poster Session at the 61st National Meeting on Poultry Health, Processing, and Live Production. This new poster session is designed to showcase applied research that addresses real-world challenges facing the poultry industry, including poultry health, live production, processing, food safety, biosecurity, welfare, diagnostics, nutrition, emerging technologies, sustainability, and One Health.

Accepted student poster presenters will receive free meeting registration and will be eligible for student poster awards.

The poster session will provide a unique opportunity for students to share their work with poultry veterinarians, industry leaders, processing professionals, diagnostic laboratories, allied industry, and academic experts from across the poultry sector.

Abstract requirements:
Abstracts should be no more than 300 words and should include:

  1. Background and industry relevance
  2. Objective
  3. Methods
  4. Results or expected findings
  5. Practical implications for the poultry industry
  6. Name your topic area number of the four areas listed below

Topic Areas:

  1. Poultry health, disease prevention, and biosecurity
  2. Live production, nutrition, welfare, and sustainability
  3. Processing, food safety, and product quality
  4. Emerging technologies and applied innovation

Important Dates:

  • Abstract submission opens: June 1, 2026
  • Abstract submission deadline: August 5, 2026
  • Acceptance notifications: August 30, 2026
  • Poster session: September 15, 2026

- Space will be limited, and abstracts will be reviewed based on scientific quality, relevance to the poultry industry, applied value, and clarity.

- Commercial product-focused abstracts must include objective research data and should not be primarily promotional or sales-oriented.
